Commercial Occupational Health
Flex Health is one of Hull and East Yorkshire’s leading health and physiotherapy providers
What is occupational Health?
Occupational health provides support to enable people to overcome barriers in their recovery which may prevent them from doing activities or occupations that are important to their everyday life. The overall aim is to increase independence and satisfaction in all aspects of life.
At Flex Health, we provide occupational health support in the work setting, with the aim of reducing the impact that sickness absence can have on a company. Musculoskeletal disorders account for 34% of all UK sick days, and our aim is to work closely with your business in order to cut this figure and the effect is it having on overall productivity and profitability.
For those that are suffering from musculoskeletal disorders, the pain that they experience can be debilitating, meaning that they are more likely to take time off work. Our team of rehabilitators are poised to support these people in the work place so that they are less likely to suffer from issues caused by poor sitting position, lifting incorrectly or typing at a computer. We aim to remove any factors which could exacerbate any issues and promote a healthy workplace in order to reduce the risk of repeated injury.
How it can help you
Occupational health provided by Flex Health can support clients with a variety of different conditions, including but not limited to:

At Flex Health, our aim is to provide a person-centred service which will not only reduce work absence but will also ensure that every employee is able to function effectively at work, while also feeling more satisfied. Our team of highly trained rehabilitators have a combination of over 30 years of experience supporting those with musculoskeletal disorders, and we firmly believe that our approach will help to improve the working lives of your employees.
We will offer on-site assessments at your facility for those with repeated instances of absence due to musculoskeletal conditions. Our aim will be reducing the impact these problems might have on their work, while also providing them with the tools to reduce repeated instances of pain and absence.
Our experienced rehabilitators will assess the employee, and then provide a detailed rehabilitation plan to support them back to optimal functioning. This plan will involve exercises and strategies which they can implement in the workplace to support management of their problem.

All manner of businesses could benefit from the service that we provide. We have experience working with people in both physical and stationary jobs. A wide range of musculoskeletal problems can arise from a variety of different settings and triggers.
How often would my employees need to see you?
Two of our trained rehabilitators would attend your facility twice per month for one full day at a time. We would offer 30-minute slots throughout the day for your employees to attend.
