What is Neurotherapy?

Neurotherapy or neurological physiotherapy is the treatment of neurotherapy symptoms in patients who suffer from MS, Cerebral Palsy, Parkinson and Huntington’s while also helping to rehabilitate patients after strokes and brain injuries.

By using the same techniques as traditional physiotherapy applied in the correct way with our certified physiotherapists, neurotherapy aims to help patients with neurological disability conditions improve their quality of life.

One specific treatment is Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES). FES works by sending small impulses to stimulate the muscles and nerves, helping muscles to contract and assist in achieving movement. This is particularly useful to allows patients with neurological deficits to perform functional movement patterns with co-ordinated muscle activation.
